This project grows out of action learning: learning by doing, together.
By working close to the origins of food, it reconnects people with what they eat, with one another, and with the place they share.
Within Stem en Vork, on the grounds of Kasteel Ter Beke, we built a wood-fired pizza oven together with ceramics students from LUCA School of Arts.
The oven is now freely accessible and used by local residents — a simple structure that brings people together to bake, eat, talk, and spend time.
More than an object, the oven is a shared moment: a place where making, caring, and community naturally come together.
